The authors consider electromagnetic scattering by a local impedance section of a surface separating two media. The problem reduces to a boundary problem for two coupled Helmholtz equations and further to a system of hypersingular boundary integral equations. To solve the latter, a numerical method is proposed, and a numerical example is presented.
