Holomorphic two-spheres in complex Grassmann manifold \(G(2, 4)\) (Q949460)

By using the moving frames method, the authors study degenerate and non-degenerate two-spheres in the complex Grassmann manifold \(G(2,4)\). For both cases pinching theorems on the Gaussian curvature \(K\) of a two-sphere in \(G(2,4)\) are obtained. Also, a class of non-degenerate totally geodesic immersions of a two-sphere with \(K = 2\) into \(G(2,4)\) is found.
