From the text: As is known, every locally integrable function determines a generalized function from the space \({\mathcal D}'\). In applications, generalized functions are often associated to measurable functions that are not locally integrable but admit a so-called regularization. In this paper, we consider regularizations of arbitrary measurable functions. By a regularization of a measurable (but not locally integrable) function we understand a generalized function which is defined by means of the integral \(\int f(t)\varphi (t)\,dt\) on the natural domain of definition \(L_f\) consisting of all test function \(\varphi\) for which the function \(f\varphi\) is integrable.
