    The author studies a \(\mathbb{Q}\)-vector space spanned by the values of \[ \text{Li}_{s_1,\dots,s_n}(\zeta_1,\dots,\zeta_n)=\sum_{k_1>\dots>k_n>0} \frac{\zeta_1^{k_1}\dots \zeta_n^{k_n}}{k_1^{s_1}\dots k_n^{s_n}}, \] where \(\zeta_j\)'s run through \(N\)th roots of unity. Let \(d(w,N)\) be the dimension of this vector space of weight \(w=s_1+\dots+s_n.\) In particular, the author proves that \(d(2,p) \leq (5p+7)(p+1)/24\) and that \(d(2,p^2)<p^2(p-1)^2/4\) for each prime number \(p \geq 5\). He also establishes several \(\mathbb{Q}\)-linear relations between these values which were earlier found numerically, for instance, \[ 5\, \text{Li}_{1,2}(-1,-i)=46\, \text{Li}_{1,1,1}(i,1,1)-7\, \text{Li}_{1,1,1}(-1,-1,i)-13 \, \text{Li}_{1,1,1}(i,i,i)+13 \, \text{Li}_{1,2}(-i,i) \] \[ - \text{Li}_{1,1,1}(-i,-1,1)+25 \, \text{Li}_{1,1,1}(-i,1,1)-8 \, \text{Li}_{1,1,1}(i,i,-1)+18 \, \text{Li}_{2,1}(-i,1). \]
