The paper is devoted to a Cauchy problem for a semi-linear evolution equation with a nonlocal initial condition. The problem of interest is \[ u'=Au+F(t,u)\text{ for }t>0,\quad u(0)+H(t_1,\dots,t_p,u)=u_0. \] The assumptions are the following: {\parindent5mm \begin{itemize}\item[1.] The operator \(A\) is an \(\omega\)-almost sectorial operator, this means, that the resolvent has a special (unbounded) behavior near \(z=0\). The operator is not supposed to be a sectorial, densely defined one. \item[2.] The mapping \(F\) is continuous in \(t\) and locally (in a ball) Lipschitz in \(u\). \item[3.] The mapping \(H\) maps into \(D(A)\) and has some kind of generalized Lipschitz behavior in \(u\). \end{itemize}} These assumptions allow to define (as usual) mild and classical solutions. The authors prove under certain assumptions the existence and uniqueness of both of these solutions. The proofs are based on the representation of a solution in form of an integral equation by using the semigroup generated by \(-A\). Then standard arguments as successive approximation, Gronwall's inequality are applied.
