The rectilinearization of semi-algebraic \(p\)-adic sets is adapted to become useful to \(p\)-adic integration theory by controlling the orders of the Jacobians of the occuring isomorphisms. Any semi-algebraic \(p\)-adic set can be partitioned by rectilinearization into finitely many parts, each of which is semi-algebraically isomorphic to a cartesian power of basic \(p\)-adic integer subsets. It is shown that the mentioned isomorphisms can be chosen in such a way that the valuations of their Jacobians equal the valuations of products of coordinate functions leading to explicit \(p\)-adic resolution of singularities of semi-algebraic \(p\)-adic functions. An alternative proof of \textit{J. Denef} [Invent. Math. 77, 1--23 (1984; Zbl 0537.12011)] on the rationality of the Poincaré series associated to \(p\)-adic points on a variety is then obtained.
