The author proves an equivariant version of the uniformization theorem of Hironaka concerning real analytic manifolds, for the case of closed subanalytic sets: Let \(G\) be a Lie group and let \(M\) be a proper analytic \(G\)-manifold. If \(X\) is a closed subanalytic \(G\)-invariant subset of \(M\), then there exists a proper real analytic \(G\)-manifold \(N\) of the same dimension as \(X\) and a proper real analytic \(G\)-equivariant map \(\phi: N \rightarrow M\) such that \(\phi(N)=X\). In order to prove this result, the author first reduces the problem to the case of a compact Lie group in section 4, then shows that the result holds for free actions in section 5. Next, the case where the actions possess orbits of the same dimension is proven (these are called ``foliated actions'' by the author) in section 6. Finally, the general case is proven in section 7 by using equivariant blow-ups in order to reduce the general case to the one of foliated actions.
