A KKM space is defined as an abstract convex space satisfying the KKM principle. The purpose of this paper is to show that several well-known results in KKM theory on G-convex spaces also hold for KKM spaces (such as the Sperner and Alexandrov--Pasynkov theorems, Horvath and Himmelberg type fixed point theorems, a Fan--Browder type coincidence point theorem, a Nash type equilibrium theorem, a von~Neumann type minimax theorem, etc.). The article is based on several papers of the same author.
