      Let \(f:\mathbb{R}^n\to\mathbb{R}^n\) be a locally Lipschitz function with sublinear growth, and let \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) be a closed set. The main problem consists in finding conditions under which there exists a viable solution, i.e. \(x(t)\in K\) for \(t\geq 0\) of this equation. Suitable topological tools for studying the existence of viable and periodic viable trajectories in state-dependent impulsive differential equations of this form are introduced. Some results based on the Ważewski retract method are applied. The techniques presented in the paper are illustrated with several examples.
