This paper describes the prop profile of bi-Hamiltonian structures. Recently, Merkulov discovered new links between differential geometry, homological algebra and algebraic topology by giving descriptions in terms of props. In this paper, the author concentrates on the prop profiles of Poisson geometry. It is showed that formal bi-Hamiltonian structures can be derived from a Lie bracket of degree one and two-compatible Lie cobrackets of degree zero. This enables to prove a one-to-one correspondence between bi-Hamiltonian structures and the representations of the props.
