Let \(F\) be a non-Archimedean local field of characteristics zero and let \(\text{SL}(N,F)\) be the special linear algebraic group. The authors study certain subspaces of the tempered dual of \(\text{SL}(N,F)\) and compute their \(K\)-theory. The results of the paper are related to part (3) of the recent conjecture in \textit{A.-M. Aubert}, \textit{P. Baum} and \textit{R. Plymen} [C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 345, No. 10, 573--578 (2007; Zbl 1128.22009)].
