Let \(\mathcal O\) be a complete discrete valuation ring of characteristic \(0\) whose residue field is algebraically closed of characteristic \(p>0\). Moreover, let \(H\) be a subgroup of a finite group \(G\), and let \(b\) and \(c\) be block idempotents of the group algebras \(\mathcal OG\) and \(\mathcal OH\), respectively. For a positive integer \(n\), the block algebras \(\mathcal OGb\) und \(\mathcal OHc\) are said to be naturally Morita equivalent of degree \(n\) if \(\mathcal OGb\) contains a unitary subalgebra \(S\) such that multiplication induces an isomorphism of \(\mathcal O\)-algebras \(\mathcal OHc\otimes_{\mathcal O}S\cong\mathcal OGb\). The authors characterize this property in terms of restrictions of simple modules (in characteristic \(0\) and characteristic \(p\)) associated to \(b\) and \(c\), in the special case where \(H\) is normal in \(G\) and \(C_H(R)\subseteq O_{p'p}(H)\) for a Sylow \(p\)-subgroup \(R\) of \(O_{p'p}(H)\) and \(c\) is also a block idempotent of \(\mathcal OO_{p'}(H)\).
