In the last years curvature measures have been studied in differential geometry and geometric measure theory. In this paper curvature measures are looked at from the perspective of geometric inference. Boundary measures of compact subsets of the \(d\)-dimensional Euclidean space are studied, which are closely related to Federer's curvature measures. The authors prove a projection stability theorem and show who this leads also to the stability of a variant of boundary measures. Moreover a stability result for boundary measures is presented, which implies that curvature measures are also stable for the Hausdorff distance. In addition the authors show how Monte Carlo methods can be applied to the computation of boundary measures of point clouds.
