The author studies the class of nonminimal Legendre surfaces in the unit 5- sphere \(S^5(1)\) whose mean curvature vector field \(H\) is harmonic with respect to the normal Laplacian \(\Delta^D\), that is \(\Delta^DH= 0\). On nonminimal Legendre submanifolds there exists a special vector field \(\Phi H\) and in case the dimension is 2, up to signs, there is a unique unit vector field \((\Phi H)^\perp\) normal to \((\Phi H)\). In this paper, under the condition that the square of the mean curvature is constant along one of \(\Phi H\) and \((\Phi H)^\perp\) the author completely determines all nonminimal Legendre surfaces in \(S^5(1)\), satisfying \(\nabla^DH= 0\) and gives examples of such submanifolds.
