The main subject of the paper is the extension problem of various geometric structures. There are several results in the paper. One of the main theorems states that a holomorphic bundle underlying a Cartan geometry extends over a subset of codimension two or bigger provided the Cartan geometry does. There is an analogous result for \(G\)-structures instead of Cartan geometries and a similar result for higher order holomorphic structures. Other examples where the extension theorem works include holomorphic contact structures, parabolic geometries, reductive Cartan geometries, reductive \(G\)-structures and a few more. The paper contains a good survey of the results known and gives many examples.
