The paper authors study a singularity substraction iterative refinement scheme for spectral subspaces of weakly singular integral operators. An iterative scheme based on a single power iteration step followed by a direct correction computation is used. With a singularity substraction discretization the eigenvalues and the corresponding spectral subspaces of weekly singular integral operators are approximated in this discussion. Numerical experiments are given.
