The paper is concerned with a nonlinear delay reaction diffusion equation and its numerical solution. The authors consider the continuous retarded Volterra integro-differential equation and a discrete analogue. Theoretical results are provided giving stability estimates. Their analysis allows them to draw some parallels that provide insight to numerical methods for the continuous problem which are illustrated in some numerical examples.
