Let \(X\) be a real vector space. A function \(f:\mathbb R \to X\) is called a Fibonacci function if it satisfies the equation \[ f(x)=f(x-1)+f(x-2)\quad\text{for all} \quad x\in \mathbb R. \] The author investigates the Hyers-Ulam stability of the equation above. He also proves that the general solution of the Fibonacci functional equation is related to the Fibonacci numbers \(F_n\) where, \(F_n=F_{n-1}+F_{n-2}\) for all \(n\geq 2\) and \(F(0)=1, F(1)=1\).
