The paper deals with two models of uniform infinite planar quadrangulations. Each model is obtained as a local limit of certain uniform objects. More precisely, the first model is defined by \textit{M. Krikun} [\url{arXiv:math/0512304}] as a local limit of uniform finite quadrangulations as their size goes to infinity. The second model which is due to \textit{P. Chassaing} and \textit{B. Durhuus} [Ann. Probab. 34, No. 3, 879--917 (2006; Zbl 1102.60007)] uses the Schaeffer's bijection between rooted planar quadrangulations with \(n\) faces and well-labeled trees with \(n\) edges. Then, starting from a sequence of uniform well-labeled trees, it is possible to define a random infinite quadrangulation through the Schaeffer's bijection. These two versions of a uniform infinite quadrangulation are a priori different. The goal of the paper is to show that these two definitions coincide.
