An extension of the quintuple product identity and its applications (Q975809)

The paper observes some results concerning the Jacobi theta functions \(\Theta_k\), for \(k=1, 2, 3, 4\), Dedekind \(\theta\) function and Ramanujan theta functions \(\Phi(q)\) and \(\Psi(q)\). Using the theory of elliptic theta functions, the paper proves new theta function identity and discusses its various important applications. For example, gives a new derivation of the Eisenstein series identity of Ramanujan related to modular equations of degree 7, Ramanujan-Watson modular equation of the seventh order, two remarkable Lambert series identities and some other results.
