      The authors prove the \(L^2\)-stability of some exponential time differencing (ETD) schemes for the Kuramoto-Sivanshinsky equation \(u_t = -u_{xx} - \nu u_{xxx} - uu_x, \quad (x,t) \in [0,\pi] \times \mathbb{R}^+\) and the related linearized equation \(u_t = -u_{xx} - \nu u_{xxx} + \lambda u\) with the initial condition and periodic boundary conditions.
