The authors introduce two generalizations of the CUR matrix decomposition (pseudo-skeleton approximation) to the case of \(N\)-way arrays (tensors). These will be called Fiber Sampling Tensor Decomposition type 1 and type 2. They are useful for dealing with large-size data sets.
