The author considers a model of compressible viscous flow in the half-space. More precisely, he studies the compressible Navier-Stokes equations with neglected pressure term. The system is considered under the no-slip boundary condition for the velocity. It is shown that under certain smallness assumption on the initial data (the kinetic energy \(\varrho_0 |u_0|^2\) in \(L^1(R_+^3)\) and \(\|\nabla u_0\|_2\) in \(L^2(R_+^3)\)) together with bounded initial density there exists a weak solution to the modified Navier-Stokes system such that \(\nabla u \in L^\infty(R_+; L^2(R_+^3))\) and \(\nabla^2 u \in L^2(R_+;L^2(R_+^3))\). Moreover, the density is bounded globally in time, and, provided the initial density is strictly bounded away from zero, the density is positive globally in time. An important ingredient of the proof is the estimates of velocity using the Green function for the Lamé system.
