For self-dual Yang-Mills equations in split signature a solution, called the basic split instanton, is given, and the ADHM (Atiyah-Drinfeld-Hitchin-Manin) construction in the split signature is described [see also \textit{L. Woodhouse}, Integrability, self-duality and twistor theory. Oxford: Clarendon Press (1996; Zbl 0856.58002)]. Moreover a split version of t'Hooft ansatz is described.
