The author proves that there exists a quantum state approximating any multi-copy state universally when the error is measured by means of the normalized relative entropy, and they solve the mini-max problem concerning an approximation error up to the second order. Furthermore, the result is applied to quantum lossless data compression. The paper can be considered as a research survey on quantum data compression, and its originality recommends it for implementation and to study the efficiency.
