Let \(\mathfrak g\) be a symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebra with indecomposable generalized Cartan matrix \(C\), and let \({\mathcal O}_{\text{int}}(\mathfrak g)\) be the full subcategory of integrable representations in the category of \(\mathfrak g\)-representations. Let \(^L{\mathfrak g}\) be the Langlands dual Lie algebra. The author establishes a duality between representations in \({\mathcal O}_{\text{int}}(\mathfrak g)\) and \({\mathcal O}_{\text{int}}(^L{\mathfrak g})\), provided \(C\) has no odd cycles. The multiplicites which occur in the character duality are interpreted as tensor product multiplicities. For finite type quantum groups, the connection with tensor products is explained in terms of tilting modules.
