A version of the current-based integrate and fire (I\&F) model describing the spike induced current injections as delta-impulses is considered. The neural network consist of \(N\) all-to-all coupled current-based, excitatory, integrate and fire neurons, the dynamics being described by a system of differential equations. The instantaneous currents driving each neuron in the network are modeled by an expression containing a term that corresponds to the currents arriving from the external input and a term that corresponds to the coupling between pairs of neurons. Synchronous dynamics of the model, super- and subthreshold regimes are largely discussed. Appropriate Kolmogorov forward and backward equations are studied. Further, properties of the steady asynchronous solutions of the model are studied. There is shown also that the considered model of the network coupled with infinitely fast delta-impulses cannot exhibit chaotic dynamics.
