The paper is devoted to the numerical solution of two-dimensional Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with smooth kernels. The equation is discretized by replacing the kernel function by a piecewise Chebyshev interpolation over a uniform partition and using composite quadrature rules. The authors present iterative methods for the fast solution of the resulting linear systems and discuss their computational complexity and implementation.
