Rank 72 high minimum norm lattices (Q984838)

The paper recalls a classical construction of lattices using a pair of dual codes. The aim is to construct even unimodular lattices of dimension 72 starting with the Leech lattice. Griess shows that these lattices have minimum \(\geq 6\) and gives a strategy to find all minimal vectors using only computations with the minimal and second minimal vectors of the Leech lattice. The construction also gives even unimodular lattices with minimum 8 and of dimension 96, 120, and 128.
