The following semilinear parabolic system is considered in this paper: \[ \begin{aligned} \Delta u -{\partial u\over \partial t}= \lambda p(x,t)g(v) &\quad \text{in }D\times (0,\infty),\\ \Delta v -{\partial v\over \partial t}= \mu q(x,t)f(u) &\quad \text{in }D\times (0,\infty),\\ u(x,0)=\alpha u_0(x)+aH_D\varphi(x) &\quad \text{in }D,\\ v(x,0)=\beta v_0(x)+bH_D\psi(x) &\quad \text{in } D,\\ u(\xi,t)=a\varphi(\xi) &\quad \text{on }\partial D\times (0,\infty),\\ v(\xi,t)=b\psi(\xi) &\quad \text{on }\partial D\times (0,\infty). \end{aligned} \] Here \(D\) is an unbounded \(C^{1,1}\) domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) (\(n\geq 3\)) with compact boundary, \(a,b,\alpha,\beta,\lambda,\mu\) are nonnegative constants such that \((a+\alpha)(b+\beta)>0\), \(u_0,v_0\) are nonnegative continuous functions in \(D\), \(\varphi,\psi\) are nonnegative continuous functions on \(\partial D\), \(H_D\varphi, H_D\psi\) are the harmonic functions on \(D\) with boundary values \(\varphi,\psi\) respectively and with zero limit at infinity, \(f,g\) are continuous functions on \((0,\infty)\) and either both are nondecreasing or both are nonincreasing, and \(p,q\) are nonnegative measurable functions satisfying some conditions related to the parabolic Kato class \(J^\infty(D)\) defined appropriately. The authors show that under certain additional hypotheses, the above system has a positive continuous solution \((u,v)\).
