This paper generalizes a theorem on the embedding of two classes of functions. The first class, \(W^{r} H_{S}^\omega\), is defined as the set of odd, continuous and \(2\pi\)-periodic functions with a certain smoothness condition on the \(r\)-th derivative, and whose Fourier coefficients satisfy a property related to their rate of decay. The second class, \(H(A,p,r,\delta, \omega)\), is defined in terms of the entries of a lower triangular infinite matrix \(A=(a_{n,k})\) of weights of the (weighted) Cesàro mean of the errors of the Fourier series for the corresponding functions. It is shown that, under certain conditions on \(A\), \[ W^{r} H_{S}^\omega \subset H(A,p,r,\delta, \omega). \] For the case when the \(a_{n,k}\) do not depend on \(n\), this assertion was established by \textit{L. Leindler} [Anal. Math. 31, No.~3, 175--182 (2005; Zbl 1140.42001)].
