The authors investigate the multicomponent Harry Dym hierarchy (both its local and nonlocal part) and its solutions, from a family of finite-dimensional Stäckel separable systems of Benenti type by using the Euler-Lagrange equations and operator based on the paper of \textit{J. C. Brunelli} and \textit{G.A.T.F. da Costa} [J. Math. Phys. 43, No. 12, 6116--6128 (2002; Zbl 1060.37053)].
