Let \(H\) be a Hopf algebra with bijective antipode and \(\alpha,\beta\) Hopf algebra automorphisms of \(H\). The authors consider a category \(_H\mathcal{YD}^H(\alpha,\beta)\) that generalizes both Yetter-Drinfeld modules and anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules. A braided \(T\)-category having all the categories \(_H\mathcal{YD}^H(\alpha,\beta)\) as components is constructed. It is proved that if \((\alpha,\beta)\) has a pair in involution, then \(_H\mathcal{YD}^H(\alpha,\beta)\) is isomorphic to the usual category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over \(H\).
