This very carefully written paper contains the correct proofs for several results stated by \textit{F. Haab} [J. Differ. Geom. 52, 117--144 (1999; Zbl 1036.52007)]. The main result of the paper under review asserts that two convex bodies \(K, K_0 \subset \mathbb R ^n\) with \(K_0\) of class \(C_+^2\) and centrally symmetric and with \(K\) having \(C^2\) support function, are homothetic if their \(i\)th and \(j\)th projection functions are proportional. Here, \(i<j\) can be any integers between 1 and \(n-1\), with the exception of \((1,n-1)\) and \((n-2,n-1)\). In particular, any convex body \(K\subset \mathbb R ^n\) with \(C^2\) support body whose \(i\)th and \(j\)th projection functions are constant must be an Euclidean ball.
