The authors study the stability of the meshless symmetric collocation for boundary value problems. A short review of the meshless symmetric collocation method and the specific kernels for which the analysis is applicable is given. In addition results on the stability by bounding the smallest eigenvalue of the discrete collocation matrix from below is given. Regularization and stabilization of the collocation problem is discussed.
