The article stems from the incomplete classification of finite soluble minimal non-\(p\)-supersoluble groups by \textit{F. Tuccillo} [Colloq. Math. 63, No. 1, 119-131 (1992; Zbl 0808.20022)]. Specific examples highlight the omissions. In the introduction, a complete survey on the classification of minimal nonabelian and nonnilpotent finite groups provides the foundation on which extensions can be made to include the case for minimal nonnilpotent supersoluble finite groups. Since a minimal non-\(p\)-supersoluble group may be either \(p\)-soluble or has \(G/\Phi(G)\) as a nonabelian simple group of order divisible by \(p\), attention is restricted to the universe of \(p\)-soluble groups in which a \(p\)-supersoluble group \(G\) is defined to have each \(p\)-chief factor to be cyclic of prime order \(p\). Within the \(p\)-soluble universe, twelve types of minimal non-\(p\)-supersoluble finite groups arise. Each is carefully presented. That minimal nonsupersoluble groups are soluble [\textit{K. Doerk}, Math. Z. 91, 198-205 (1966; Zbl 0135.05401)] together with the above classification yields the classification of the minimal nonsupersoluble groups. An immediate result from this classification is that if \(G\) is a group whose subgroups of prime order permute with all Sylow subgroups of \(G\) and no section of \(G\) is isomorphic to the quaternion group, then \(G\) is supersoluble. This generalizes a result of \textit{J. Buckley} that a group \(G\) of odd order in which each minimal subgroup is normal in \(G\) is supersoluble [Math. Z. 116, 15-17 (1970; Zbl 0202.02303)]. The preliminary results and broad bibliography are of independent interest for investigators in this area.
