    Carathéodory functions are analytical functions \(\phi(z)\) on the open unit disk with a positive real part. They can be characterized by two classical representations. First, the Herglotz integral representation \[ \phi(z)= ia+ \int^{2\pi}_0 {e^{it}+z\over e^{it}- z} \,d\mu(t), \] where \(\mu(t)\) is a bounded increasing function and \(a\in\mathbb{R}\). The second representation is \(\Phi(z)= ia+ T(U+ zI)(U- zI)^{-1} T^*\). Here, \(U\) is a unitary operator on a Hilbert space \(H\) and \(T: H\to\mathbb{C}\) is a bounded operator. In the present paper, the authors study Carathéodory functions whose values are bounded operators between appropriate Banach spaces and obtain certain operator analogues of the above two representations.
