Large deviations for probabilistic cellular automata. II.
Large deviations (60F10) Discrete-time Markov processes on general state spaces (60J05) Markov chains (discrete-time Markov processes on discrete state spaces) (60J10) Interacting random processes; statistical mechanics type models; percolation theory (60K35) Dynamic lattice systems (kinetic Ising, etc.) and systems on graphs in time-dependent statistical mechanics (82C20)
[For part I, cf. ibid. 108, No. 5-6, 1255--1280 (2002; Zbl 1027.60080)]. The authors formulate some general assumptions on Markov chains in order to derive large deviations bounds. They apply the results to probabilistic cellular automata, where lower bounds of the Donsker-Varadhan type are not valid. They also obtain approximate large deviation estimates for Markov chains which are small perturbations of a given product Markov chain.
