Lineability of universal divergence of Fourier series
Convergence and divergence of series and sequences of functions (40A30) Fourier coefficients, Fourier series of functions with special properties, special Fourier series (42A16) Topological linear spaces of continuous, differentiable or analytic functions (46E10) Cyclic vectors, hypercyclic and chaotic operators (47A16)
The author of the paper under review studies problems of divergence of Fourier series of continuous functions. In particular, he shows that, for each countable subset \(E\) of the unit circle, the set \({\mathcal F}_{pE}\) is dense-lineable and spaceable. Here, \({\mathcal F}_{pE}\) is the set of continuous functions on the unit circle, for which the restrictions to \(E\) of the partial sums of their Fourier series are dense in the space of all functions on \(E\).
