Let \(X : y^2 = f(x)\) be a hyperelliptic curve, where \( f \in \mathbb{Z}[x]\) is a squarefree polynomial of degree \(2g+2\) whose leading coefficient is a square in \(\mathbb{Z}\). Let \(J\) denote the Jacobian variety of \(X\), and suppose that the rank \(r\) of the Mordell-Weil group \(J(\mathbb{Q})\) is equal to \(g\). Let \(p > g\) be a prime of good reduction for \(X\), and set\N\[\NU = \operatorname{Spec}\bigl(\mathbb{Z}[x,y]/(y^2 - f(x))\bigr).\N\]\NThe paper presents the construction of a nontrivial, computable, locally analytic function \(\rho \colon U(\mathbb{Z}_p) \longrightarrow \mathbb{Q}_p\) together with a finite and explicitly computable set \(T \subset \mathbb{Q}_p\) such that \(\rho\bigl(U(\mathbb{Z})\bigr) \subseteq T\). On the basis of this construction, a new quadratic Chabauty method for determining integral points on the hyperelliptic curve \(X\) is introduced. The method is illustrated by computing the set of integral points on the curve defined by \N\[\Ny^2 = x^6 + 2x^5 - 7x^4 - 18x^3 + 2x^2 + 20x + 9.\N\]\NFurthermore, the approach is extended to compute integral points on certain even-degree hyperelliptic curves defined over number fields of degree greater than one. As an illustration, the set of integral points is determined for the curve \N\[\Ny^2 = x^6 + x^5 - w x^4 + (1 - w)x^3 + x^2 + w x + w,\N\]\Ndefined over the number field \(K = \mathbb{Q}(w)\), where \(w^2 = 7\).
