Linkage principle for small quantum groups

From MaRDI portal

In this paper, a small quantum group is a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra obtained from a diagonal Nichols algebra over an abelian finite group, firstly by taking its bosonization, then its Drinfel'd quantum double. Such a Hopf algebra \(H\) admits a decomposition into three parts \(H_+\), \(H_0\) and \(H_-\). Any algebra morphism from \(H_0\) to \(\mathbb{C}\) gives rise to a Verma module, which has a unique simple quotient, and every simple module over \(H\) can be obtained in this way. In the spirit of the work of \textit{H. H. Andersen} et al. [Representations of quantum groups at a \(p\)-th root of unity and of semisimple groups in characteristic \(p\): independence of \(p\). Paris: Société Mathématique de France (1994; Zbl 0802.17009)] on restricted quantum enveloping algebras at roots of unity, a linkage principle is proved for these objects. This characterizes the blocks of the category of modules. In this context, typical simple modules are introduced by an inequality, and it proved that it simple or equivalently projective Verma modules. For atypical simple modules, a notion of degree is introduced, and a character formula for 1-atypical simple modules is proved.
