Local complete intersections and Weierstrass points

From MaRDI portal

The authors give a simple proof that the moduli space of complete integral Gorenstein curves with a prescribed symmetric Weierstrass semigroup is a weighted projective space when the associated monomial curve is a local complete intersection. It is based on a combination of the results of \textit{A. Contiero} and \textit{K.-O. Stöhr} [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 88, No. 2, 580--598 (2013; Zbl 1288.14016)] and the computation of the deformation space of the monomial curve. The proof also works in finite characteristic \(p\), if \(p\) does not divide any of the exponents of the equations of the monomial curve.
