Major Centers of Triangles
Let \(x\) be a procedure that assigns to each triangle \(ABC\) a ``centre \(X:= x (ABC)\), e.g. the incentre, and let \(y\) be another such procedure. Then one obtains further points \(Y_A\), \(Y_B\), \(Y_C\) by putting \(Y_A: =y(XBC), \dots\), and \(A',B',C'\) by putting \(A': =XY_A \cap BC, \dots\) The author raises, among others, the following question: For a given function \(x\) what are the functions \(y\) so that \(ABC\) and \(A'B'C'\) are perspective triangles? If \(X\) is chosen to be the incentre then every ``major centre \(Y\) yields perspective triangles. (The definitions of ``centre and ``major centre are very elegant, but too complicated to be stated here).
