Mappings and spaces
The author provides a general discussion interspersed with interesting musings on various mappings and spaces. Classes of mappings he mentions include piecewise linear maps, lipschitz and bilipschitz maps, Hölder continuous maps, quasiconformal maps, quasisymmetric maps, diffeomorphisms and homeomorphisms. Spaces examined include polyhedra, metric spaces, compact smooth manifolds and PL manifolds. He covers existence and construction issues, rigidity, growth rates of mappings, distortion and the boundary extension problem and examines certain topological and measure theoretic questions as well. The scope of the article is extremely broad and an extensive reference list gives links to literature on the various topics. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0883.00018].
