Maximum norm in one-dimensional hyperbolic problems

The authors proved the existence, uniqueness and maximum norm estimates for classical solutions of the inhomogeneous Cauchy problem for the wave equation in a bounded interval. The cases of homogeneous and inhomogeneous boundary conditions were studied.
