Meixner polynomials and nonvanishing holomorphic functions

From MaRDI portal

Let \(M_{t,\tau} (t>0,\tau\in (0,1))\) denote the class of all holomorphic functions \(f\) defined on the unit disc \(D\) = \(\{z:|z|<1\}\) which has the form \( f(z)=1+ a_1z +a_2z^2+\ldots \), and satisfy the relation \(f(z)\prec \left( (1-z)/(1-\tau z)\right)^{2t}\) where \(\prec \) denotes the usual subordination. In this note, the authors obtain the sharp estimate for \(|a_n|\), \(n=1,2,3\), if, \(f\in M_{t,\tau}\). As a consequence, in the limiting case \(\tau \rightarrow 1\), one gets the known sharp bounds for the bounded holomorphic functions in \(\Delta\).
