Mini-workshop: Aspects of Ricci-flow

From MaRDI portal

Summary: The workshop studies Hamilton-Ricci flow of Riemannian metrics on 3-manifolds. The participants give detailed technical lectures on recent work of G. Perelman concerning a priori estimates and surgeries during the flow. The workshop was able to verify major sections of Perelman's work and identified points that need a more detailed exposition. Contributions: --Huai-Dong Cao, Uniform non-collapsing and an elliptic Harnack-type inequality p.1181 --Klaus Ecker, Entropy and lower volume ratio bounds p.1181 --Gerhard Huisken, The surgery construction for the Hamilton-Ricci flow p.1183 --Tom Ilmanen, Properties of reduced distance and volume p.1183 --Dan Knopf, An examination of surgery strategies p.1185 --Bernhard List, The compactness of the set of \(t\)-solutions p.1188 --Jan Metzger, The canonical neighbourhood assumption p.1189 --Leon Simon, Finite extinction time -- report on a paper of Colding and Minicozzi p.1190 --Miles Simon, A priori estimates for the asymptotic scalar curvature ratio on \(t\)-noncollapsed, positively curved solutions to the Ricci flow p.1194 --Carlo Sinestrari, Gradient estimates in Ricci flow and in mean curvature flow p.1195
