Multipliers of sequence spaces

From MaRDI portal

From author's introduction: If \(S\) is a space of scalar sequences then \(M(S)\), the multiplier algebra of \(S\), consists of all sequences \(u= (u_j)\) such that \(us= (u_js_j)\in S\) for all \(s= (s_j)\) in \(S\). In the literature there are many theorems that relate the topological properties of a topological sequence space \(S\) to the structure of its multiplier algebra. More recently such results have been generalized to spaces of matrix multipliers of the space. This paper is an exposition of the work in this area.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0960.00019].
