Network-based decision algorithms
Research exposition (monographs, survey articles) pertaining to computer science (68-02) Problem solving in the context of artificial intelligence (heuristics, search strategies, etc.) (68T20) Theory of languages and software systems (knowledge-based systems, expert systems, etc.) for artificial intelligence (68T35)
The authors briefly describe two basic frameworks for representing Bayesian decision problem: influence diagram (ID) and valuation-based systems (VBS). They present solving methods of the ID and VBS with a brief comparison of the two suggested methods and a discussion of their basic idea for making decision using belief functions in VBS.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0959.00013].
