Normal characterization of the main classes of quasiconvex functions

The authors study a function \(f\) with the multivalued ``normal operator \(N_f\) stemming from the family of normal cones to the level sets of \(f\). They characterize quasiconvexity, semistrict quasiconvexity, and strict quasiconvexity of \(f\) in terms of \(N_f\).
